This week Chief Olusegun Obasanjo spoke about Buhari, Jonathan and Yar’Adua at the third international conference on African development issues.
The event titled “Driving inclusive and sustainable development in Africa: Models, methods, and policies” was organised by Covenant University, Ota, Ogun state.
About Muhammadu Buhari
“I know General Buhari, he served under me in the military. His characteristics that I know, his behaviour that I know, he hasn’t deviated from it. He was not a perfect man and he would never be a perfect man and no leader would be a perfect human being.
“He is not a hot person when it comes to economy; he is not a very hot person when it comes to foreign affairs. But he will do well in the matters of military and he will do well in fighting Boko Haram.”
About Goodluck Jonathan
Chief Obasanjo did not say anything good about the ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, whom he dismissed hideously as tactically incompetent and a cipher who initiated another ‘spate of corruption’ rather than build on what he (Obasanjo) did.
However, since he had said more than enough on GEJ in the past few years, the former president continued with some critical address to the late ex-president Musa Yar'Adua
