Spain’s Barclays Premier League stars have touched down at their national team base to start their Euro 2016 preparations.
The Spaniards are considered amongst the favourites as they look to defend their European crown. However, unlike at most international tournaments in recent memory, there has been a lack of fanfare surrounding their build-up.
They still have a squad packed full of quality and will be bolstered by the arrival of fresh Champions League winners, with players from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid set to join-up after the final next Saturday.
With the English season concluded and no interest in the Turin showpiece, the Spanish Premier League contingent jetted in to meet up with their national colleagues at the national training centre, Las Rozas Sports City, on the outskirts of Madrid.
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas arrived looking relaxed in casual wear, sporting a hoodie with a print of boxing star Floyd Mayweather emblazoned on the front.
Fellow Blues stars Cesar Azpilicueta and Pedro showed up dragging more luggage than Fabregas, with Pedro looking particularly pleased to be amongst his international team-mates.
Manchester City man David Silva will be looking to put a disappointing season at the Etihad behind him as he takes on Europe’s finest with Spain.
The diminutive midfielder arrived at the national base burdened by a couple of heavy bags.
Fellow Premier League star David de Gea is also due to arrive after helping Manchester United to their FA Cup triumph.
